Well I have started this little community group called the Salem Crochet Clique. During our very first meeting, which consisted of myself and 3 friends, we were pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the Statesman Journal. They wanted to interview and photograph us for display in the Sunday paper. Since that article appeared about 3 weeks ago, my little facebook group has climbed from 6 members to over 40. I get calls from people at least twice a week, and it's just crazy! So... this experience has motivated me to get off my butt and keep a proper blog, which I am now choosing to dedicate to mostly crochet and other crafty things that keep me busy. If you like that, good for you! If not... I don't care. So there.
So... to kick things off, this is a photo of the blanket that I have started.
I usually make things like scarves and hats because they are instant gratification sorts of items, but... I have always wanted to make a blanket and I think I finally have the motivation to see this one through. So wish me luck!
